Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh – June 10, 2023 – Assam Rifles, the oldest paramilitary force in India, organized a commendable medical camp on June 10, 2023, at Motong village in the Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The primary objective of the camp was to extend medical services to the local population, particularly those living in remote areas devoid of basic healthcare facilities.
Led by the Chief Medical Officer and assisted by nurses from the Yatdam circle sub-centers of Changlang, the medical team worked diligently to cater to the medical needs of the residents. The District Hospital in Changlang also lent support by providing three nurses, ensuring the smooth operation of the camp.
A total of 156 individuals, including 72 males, 64 females, and 20 children, received medical treatment and medicines during the camp. Among the patients, three were special referral cases that required additional attention and care. The medical team conducted basic diagnoses and administered appropriate treatments to alleviate the health concerns of the villagers.
In addition to the medical assistance provided, the attendees were also educated on the importance of maintaining a green, clean, and healthy environment in their villages. The local populace of Motong, Samlong, Phunsa, and Changra expressed their deep appreciation for the efforts made by Assam Rifles in organizing the medical camp.
