In a heart-wrenching incident on the North Lakhimpur bypass, a father-daughter duo from Arunachal Pradesh lost their lives in a road accident. The victims, identified as Rangkap Arang and Jutsan Arang, were on their way to Itanagar for Jutsan Arang’s entrance exam when the mishap occurred.
The accident involved a collision between their Maruti Ertiga car (registration No. AS23-AB-3708) and an Innova car (registration No. NL-01P-8284), resulting in the tragic demise of Jutsan Arang at the accident site. Her father, Rangkap Arang, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Assam Medical College Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Jutsan Arang, an ex-student of RK Sarada Mission in Khonsa, had recently completed her Class 12 exams in the Science stream from Pinewood Residential School in Tinsukia, Assam.
Amar Chetry, the hired driver of the Ertiga car, also suffered critical injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Brahmaputra Hospital in Dibrugarh.
The news of the tragic accident has deeply saddened the community. Wangki Lowang, the PHED & DoTCL Minister representing Namsang constituency, expressed his heartfelt condolences and praised Rangkap Arang’s dedication to his community as a prominent youth leader. Minister Lowang also commended Jutsan Arang’s commitment to her studies and lamented the loss of her promising future.
