Meet focuses to raise awareness among govt staff against NPS ahead of 2024 polls

NAHARLAGUN, Jun 10: The National Movement for Old Pension Scheme, Arunachal Pradesh (NMOPS, AP) convened a central executive committee meeting in a hotel at Naharlagun with an aim at effectively streamlining the movement against the National Pension System (NPS) in the State.

The meeting primarily focused on raising awareness among government employees regarding the NPS and advocating for the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) ahead of the 2024 elections.

During the meeting, the president of NMOPS, Arunachal Pradesh, Dakme Abo, passionately appealed to all subscribers of the NPS to unite and actively participate in organizing movements against the system in the state. Abo emphasized that the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme stands as the primary demand of NMOPS-AP, highlighting its significance in the upcoming 2024 elections.
