Volvo deluxe bus service flagged off for Dimapur

ITANAGAR, JULY 3 : The Arunachal Pradesh state Transport services (APSTS) on Sunday has re-introduced the bus serves to the Dimapur in Nagaland after a gap of two years which has been flagged off by Special Secretary (Transport)  Parul Gaur in presence of several officers and official of the department.

Speaking to media, the Special secretary Parul Gaur inform that there was a demand coming up from Dimapur for re-introduction of the bus service which was stopped due to several train service from Naharlagun and also there were introduced and the passengers were minimized. Since the route is a revenue area so a new and smooth service was needed and it was found that the bus service to Miao which was not so rush so the department has introduced a force traveler service and the said Volvo bus has been deployed in the Dimapur route. she said.

As of now ten Volvo busses are running in different route which include Tezu, Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Shillong, Pasighat and others. The other deluxe bus services to various routes in district headquarter and others places are also plying as usual. She said.

“I have information of ISBT, ISTT and under construction upcoming parking lots at Itanagar bus station and we are taking care of the problem being faced at ISBT whereas the parking lot is being constructed by Urban Development department. I have visited the ISBT where plantation activities has been taken up at ISBT and others activities will be followed”. she added.

The department will try its best to mitigate the need of passengers and bus service in various location of the state. she further said.

Senior station superintended Tuter Dulom inform the activities of the APSTS has been continuously increasing with connecting new routes and providing service as per requirement like of deploying of Sumo, xylo Force travelers etc connecting district headquarter with ADC and circle headquarter to connect to the people with state capital. He said.

As of now two city serves buses are plying while few of them has been engaged to various required schools and other destination and ferrying the passengers an students which is also much needed service to the people. Dulom added.

The Dimapur bus service will ply every alternate day and the fare is kept with a genuine rate of Rs. 750/- and hope that the bus service will connect the people and ferry the passengers from Itanagar-Dimapur and vice versa. He further said.
