MLA flags off 3 Cyclists from Jodpur Cycling Club in a 7 days expedition for Anjaw

Tezu, 08 April: Bicycling is one of the fastest growing types of outdoor recreation and tourism nationwide & Arunachal as well. To give a boost in this expedition, a Cycling Club Jodpur from Rajasthan comprised of Renu Singh, Praduman Singh and Anubhau Sinha accepted the challenge to venture into the hot biodiversity of Anjaw a border district. “We are first time in this easternmost part of India and accepted the challenge of tough topography and harsh landscape of Arunachal Pradesh in promoting venture tourism by cycling. The seven days of Cycling Expedition is kind of outing from hassle & bustle of city life. Arunachal blessed with diversity in culture, natural beauty and hot biodiversity. We closely feel treasure”, expresses Renu Singh

She also achieved the feat to cover 1500 Km in 5 days by bicycle during the month of December 2020.

 While Flagging Off the team, Karikho Kri local MLA advocates cycling as best exercise for body and mind and also said it exposes the hidden treasure trove of Arunachal to the mainstream adventure.  Among other Ramesh Linggi Director Youth Affairs, Roy Mihu DSO Namsai, BC Das DSO Lohit and other officials participated in the flag off ceremony this morning at the Circuit House.
