Security personnel's back after election duty got tested and turned negative

 ITANAGAR, APRIL 8 : The health officials here under leadership of district medical officer (DMO) Capital Complex M Perme on Thursday conducted mass testing of police officials who return home after election duty at Assam and West Bengal. Large contingent of IRBn, APPBn jawans have been deployed for the assembly election duty. Briefing media Dr Perme informed that 157 jawans who returned through Hollongi gate were tested and all of them returned negative in the test.

 He appealed to all those people who were either deployed on duty or had gone to vote to voluntarily get themselves tested before entering state. “I appeal to all the departments from where employees have gone to vote or were deployed on election duty, to make their employee get tested. If given prior information we can even arrange testing facilities,” said DMO.

The DMO also called on all the people who are returning from outside to get RTPCR test in the best interest of the state. Further DMO shared that two people have tested positive in the capital region. “They are in home isolation and we are monitoring,” he informed. He also stated that Covid 19 is rising at an alarming rate across India and urged people of state to maintain protocol to keep themselves safe and healthy.

 “This second wave is more dangerous than the first. It is spreading quickly and mortality rate is also very high,” said the DMO.

He appealed to the people to wear masks, maintain social distancing, avoid social gatherings, late night parties and big gatherings and wash hands regularly.

Though we are alert and creating awareness programmes in every nook and corner of the capital complex so that the denizens of the capital complex does not get infected and they remain safe from the clutch of Corona virus. DMO added.
