PALIZI, APRIL 8 : The two days VIIIth general conference of Aka Aka (Hrusso) Elite Society which conclude today adopted several resolution which include continue to demand for creation of Lower Kameng district and others.
The VIIIth General Conference of Aka (Hrusso) Elite Society was conducted at Palizi, West Kameng District under the Chairmanship of Sheriff Nimasow from 6th to 8th April 2021 has discussed various issue pertaining to the welfare fo people and development of area and preservation of aged old cultural heritage, promotion tourism and other issues were discussed. Informed senior leader, Labi Dususow.
The important resolution was taken up to adopt the Govt Hr School,Thrizino and render all possible help to running & maintaining the School. shall pursue for introduction of Aka as Third Language in the Schools of Aka Area. Construction of a statue and memorial of the legendary leader of the Akas Taghi Raja constructed at Bhalukpong. Documentation the Folk tales & Folk lores beside it was also resolved to change the nomenclature of Aka(Hrusso) Elite Society to *Aka Shotuko-Kunu*.
The newly selected President Sang Dorjee Sidisow and General Secretary Dibru Dususow were given away with warm reception who also address the gathering while outgoing President Govardhan Nimasow motivated the gathering to work for unity and integrity of the various communities reddening in the district.
Thrizino local MLA & Advisor Forest & Environment Kumsi Sidisow also attended the conference on the concluding day and exhorted the people to remain active and work for the development of the area.
The legislator exhorted the newly inducted Executive Members to work for the welfare of Aka Community. He also assured to give special emphasis to uplift education in the Aka area.
