CS urge upon the engineers to discharge responsibility with outmost sincerity and transparency and improve the work as per technology and resource

ITANAGAR, Sep 15:  Chief Secretary Dr. Sharat Chauhan on Thursday has urged upon the members of Arunachal Pradesh Engineering Service Association (APESA) to discharge responsibilities and duty with utmost sincerity and transparency and become the partner of state and nation development with up-gradation of system and technology.

Chauhan said, “You should not be an engineer who joins as a chief Executive officer and retires as a junior engineer,”.

The APESA should not confine itself to the particular department rather extend helping hand to the other department such as the health department, So that to safeguard the people of state.

Engineers are bound to put creative effort to live up to the expectations of the younger generation, said Chauhan. In Addition, they have to think differently and prepare an Annual Operational Plan (AOP) for the overall development of roads, bridges and buildings in the state.

He said time has come to carry forward the work with modern technology and always work out for a smart solution with regards of micro hydel, rural housing, roads, bridges and other infrastructure for a better living with continued improvement. He said.

He was addressing the engineering fraternity of state on the occasion of 55th engineers day here at golden jublee banquet hall wherein engineers from varies department which induce PWD, RWD, WRD, PHED, UD. We should carry our mission for ek bharat sresht baharat or ek Arunachal serest Arunachal with renewed energy and continued improvement and I have motivated them to carry Mission 2047 of our contribution with new technology at cost effective in limited resources for improving the ease of living. Said Dr. Chauhan.

With regards to out of turn promotion (OTP), he said that the direction from state government has been given and department may take action as per direction but the due departmental promotion would be done and the dues promotion of the officers would be cleared. He added. 

The Engineering fraternity of the state on Thursday celebrated 55th Engineer’s Day with the theme ‘Smart Engineering for a better worl’ which was organized by Arunachal Pradesh Engineering Service Association (APESA) here at Golden Jubilee Banquet hall and 29th anniversary of APESA.

The function began with the garlanding of portraits of Bharat Ratna late Dr. M. Visvesvaraya to commemorate his birth anniversary which coincides with the celebration.

Gracing the occasion as chief guest, Chief Secretary Sharat Chauhan, advised the engineering fraternity to work hard for expeditious development of the state.

Through a PowerPoint presentation on the same theme retired Chief Engineer (CE) PWD, Atop Lego and CE, RWD Kago Tabiyo highlighted the future’s expectation on how to construct  road connectivity, bridges and  buildings in the state with innovative ideas.

On the occasion, CS also felicitated retired secretary (Hydropower) Er. Sang Phuntsok, Er. Kenjom Ete (Retired CE PWD), Er. Atop Lego (retired CE PWD), Er. AK Atreya  (retired CE PWD), Er. Henkar Rokom Bado (retired CE Power), Er. Tayu Gara (retired CE PWD) and Er. Phuntso Dorjee (retired CE PWD) and others.

Earlier, during his presidential address, APESA President Pura Tupe, had also submitted a memorandum to the CS for creation of department of architecture, not to allow DC to make Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APAR) of Executive Engineers, to adhere to the policy of transfer and posting, manning and heading of engineering department by technocrats and for creation of Engineer in chief post.
