Cleanliness camping 3.0 “Swachhata hi Seva” held at IG Park, several central government department joined the campaign

ITANAGAR, OCT 1 : Several central government department having its office in state capital Itanagar on Sunday has joined the cleanliness 3.0 “Swachhata hi Seva and carried out social service in IG Park and cleaned various parts of the lone IG Park located in the city.

The central government department which include BSI, Arunachal Pradesh regional centre Incharge Dr. V K Rawat inform that the cleanliness campaign is organised as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of his birth anniversary with objectives of Garbage free India.

Dr Rawat explained about the importance of cleanliness campaign and expressed hope that this campaign will inspire all the people for cleanliness in their surroundings. 

The NDRF 12th Bn Commanding officer Daulat Ram Chaudhary inform that today drive is a campaign and it should be motivated hundreds and thousands so that we all remain disease free and remain healthy with a fit body and sound mind. The cleanliness also inspire the neighbor and family members to keep our sounding clean and green so that our nearby environment also remain clean and hygiene.    

The officers of GSI, AAAUSH DEPTT, GB Pant Institute,  Regional research laboratory of AYUSH, locals, volunteers of NDRF, officers and staffs of forest Deptts. ITBP and others.

More than 300 people take part in this event at IG Park, Itanagar.

Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) campaign is being celebrated from 15th September to 2nd October this year under the joint aegis of DDWS & MoHUA for undertaking shramdaan activities aiming to generate jan andolan through community participation; to provide impetus on implementation of SBM; to disseminate the importance of a sampoorna swachh village; to reinforce the concept of Sanitation as everyone’s business; and as a prelude for the Swachh Bharat Diwas (2nd October) with nationwide participation.

Theme of SHS-2023 is ‘Garbage Free India’ with focus on visual cleanliness and welfare of Safai Mitras. Head of office of BSI, APRC, Itanagar
