ITANAGAR, OCT 1 : The Itanagar Capital complex (ICR) Deputy Commissioner Talo Potom on Sunday has appeal the youths and general public to donate blood to save other needy people. He made clarion call on the occasion of national voluntary blood donation day-2023.
Potom who inaugurated the mega blood donation camp here at DK Convention centre and motivated the youths and students present on the occasion to donate blood as a “ Maha dan”, he emphasis that every man and women should understand that the blood which are being donated are contribute to save someone life and the donors has no side effect after the donation. He said.
The Capital DC was chief guest while the Arunachal Pradesh women welfare society (APWWS) President Kani Nada Maling and youth leader Tachang Phasang was special guest on the occasion.
The voluntary blood donation day celebration was organised by the State blood transfusion council (SBTC) and BTS Arunachal Pradesh wherein participant form various colleges of state which include the college of forestry, Pasighat, RGU, Women college, APWWS and others
44 units of blood was donated on the occasion. Informed Deputy Director Dr. Joram Khopey and assured to take up such blood donation camp in various parts of district and state to motivate the people living in far flung area and district.
