Assam Rifles, in collaboration with local authorities, organized a comprehensive lecture on the detrimental effects of drugs in Hedman Village, located in the Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The event took place on 24th May 2023 as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan, aimed at combating substance abuse and promoting a drug-free society.
The informative session shed light on the various ill effects of drugs and their detrimental impact on individual health. The primary objective was to educate the youth about the dangers associated with drug abuse and encourage them to embrace healthy habits conducive to personal development. In particular, the attendees were motivated to cultivate the habit of reading, which plays a vital role in enhancing one’s personality and knowledge.
A total of 20 students, accompanied by the village’s respected GB (Gaon Burah) and a teacher, actively participated in the engaging and interactive event. The villagers expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation to Assam Rifles for organizing such an enlightening lecture, which they considered highly beneficial for the community’s overall well-being.
