ITANAGAR, NOV 9 : The All Arunachal Pradesh students union (AAPSU) under the aegis of North East students organization (NESO) on Thursday carryout sit on dharna demanding peace in Manipur. The dharna was carried out at the NEFA club building, E SS Sector in city.
Addressing the media on the occasion, NESO coordinator Pritam Waii Sonam said that “ there is a difference between two communities and NESO wants that any solution only through both the group to come to negotiation table for a lasting solution”. NESO has been doing its best to and this is fourth time that NESO through democratic movement is appealing both the community and the NESO request both to discuses for peace in peace manner. We want that the government of India to intervene into the matter. NESO leader.
We will not go beyond democratic way and we will always maintain democratic way wherein all the eight component organization of all north eastern state of the country will pursue the matter. The Government is total careless attitude and why GoI is not seriously handling the situation. We have our own right for asking for peace in Manipur and in the entire North East region. He said.
We are praying the GoI to immediately intervene into the matter for a lasting solution and peace. We have a planning to visit the Indo-Bangla border in midst of December and in case the peace does not prevail the NESO may take up the issue. The NESO leader PW Sonam added.
Several students leaders from AAPSU which include VP (Admn) Bengia PIlla, take part in the day long dharna demanding amicable solution and apermanent peace in Manipur.
It is to mention that federating unit of NESO conducted demonstration across the states of North East region highlighting lack of normalcy in the state of Manipur due to violence for last six month.
