West Kameng Police apprehends car thief and recovers vehicle in 6 hours

 BOMDILA, APRIL 10: The West Kameng district police claimed to have solved a car thief case within 6 hours and recovered the stolen vehicle.

 The West Kameng police sources informed that on 9th April (Friday) at around 2 AM information was received  at Bomdila Police station that a car had been stolen from a residential compound in Tikri village under the Bomdila police station area.

OC PS Bomdila Inspector K Dev immediately sprung into action and alerted all check gates. Accordingly at 0800 AM Balemu OC SI D T Kharma and the team of Balemu PS staff intercepted the said car at Balemu checkgate and apprehended the lifter later identified as Lobsang Tenzin. The sources said.

 The accused is a habitual auto lifter and has involvements in PS Bomdila and his home village PS Lumla. FIR 15/21 u/s 457/380 has been registered and accused has been taken into police remand of 5 days for further investigation. The sources added.
