LONGDING, April 9 : Three person were found dead near Tissa river bank in Longding district on Thursday late evening. Informed an official.
Longding Superintendent of Police, Vikram HM Meena informed that three person were found dead near Tissa river bank and it was found during the visit at the place of occurrence near Tissa riverbank around 12 kilometer from district headquarter.
The deceased were identified as Bakta Bahadur Rai s/o KB Rai, Helipad Colony Khonsa, Tirap, Kumar Pradhan s/o- Gagan Bahadur Pradhan of Zedua Colony, Longding and Khamnai Wangpan s/o- lt. Pongsa Wangpan of Senua village, Longding. SP said.
Late Bakta Bahadur Rai and Kumar Pradhan were identified as labourers in the agriculture field while Khamnai Wangpan was a watchman for the nearby factory. He said.
They were found dead with deep cut injuries on their necks, probably by some sharp object. The reason and circumstances under which the incident took place is still being ascertained. He said.
After registering a case of murder vide Longding police station case no LDG/PS/CASE/NO. 13/2021 U/S- 302 IPC has been registered and investigation has been launched.
The inquest and Post mortem proceedings have been conducted and bodies have been handed over to relatives for performing last rites. SP added.
