ITANAGAR APRIL 18 : Education & Cultural Affairs Minister Tabe Tedir, Itanagar local MLA Techi Kaso and former Chief Minister and Sagalee MLA Nabam Tuki has appeal the artist to become good professional and earn name, fame and also upgrade the economic condition of music and film industry of Arunachal Pradesh.
While attending the grand finale of Mengio Idol, Season-II here at Sango Resort campus, Education and Cultural Affairs Minister Taba Tedir motivated the artist and inspired the gathering to become a role model for society and bring laurel for society and state by the melody.
Artists have a greater role to play in molding the society through their melody voice as a message for the society for reason with happiness and sorry. He said.
Our state artist should try to become professional and join the music industry which has a vast scope for name, fame and income. Tedir said.
By the voice the artist should impress upon the masses and bring laurel for society, state and country through his/her voice act and performances. Tedir added.
The minister further assured to take up the issue and grievances of the artist community of state on the basis of memorandum submitted by NACWS.
Itanagar local MLA Techi Kaso attending the function as guest of honour said that our culture is our identity and our music has lots of meaning for the wellbeing of tribal society.
Music has power to make man feel happy and sad though music and song one can understand even in any condition of life cycle. He said.
Referring to Covid pandemic, Kaso said that we are passing through a critical period and need to understand the guidelines issued by the health department and urge upon the people of the prescribed age group to vaccinate themselves as a safety measure to fight against Covid.
He assured all his support for all the success and hope that our youths also excel at regional and national and even to international level.
Former Chief Minister and Sagalee MLA Nabam Tuki who is also the Chief Advisor of Mengio Idol said that it is a happy movement that such a platform has been created to give opportunity for the artist of remote circle Mengio.
There is no dearth of talent among our youths but they need better training and exposure and are assured to send the team for an exposure after the Covid pandemic.
Tuki appealed to all sections of society to obey the SoP issued by the state government in the greater interest of health services. He urged upon all not to go in a crowd race, always use facemask, stay safe and healthy. He added.
Tuki further assured the participants to give an exposure trip to an outside state if the Covid pandemic is over.
Nyishi Art and Culture Welfare Society (NACWS), Chairman, Tai Chali. Mengio Idol Chief Patron Gyamar Tana among others also addressed the gathering.
Former Minister Tatar Kipa, KVIB Vice Chairman Dug Saha among other senior members of the artist community were present on the occasion.
All total 28 candidates appeared at Mega audition round and 16 artists were selected on April 4. 15 artists took part in the 1st elimination round and 10 reached the 2nd elimination round.
On April 14 the 2nd elimination round 5 artists were selected who participated Sunday evening at the grand finale.
The five artists who participated were Techi Kui, Ringu Tajik, Chukhu Yazir, Nabam Etung, Nabam Sanu.
Techi Kui emerged as winner and walked away with a scotty and a five lakh entrepreneur loan form KVIB. Chukhu Yajir stood at 2nd position who went away with a cash award of Rs. 40.000 and certificate and trophy while Ringu Tajik remained at 3rd position who went away with a cash prize of Rs. 20,000, a trophy and certificate.
