ITANAGAR, APRIL 19 : The 14thNyishi day has been celebrated here at Nyishi Elite Society (NES) secretariat campus here at Richi, Jullang today in low profile due to surge in Covid in the state
The NES executive leaders led by its President Bengia Tolum unfurl the NES flag and address the gathering and nyishi society on the occasion.
Addressing the media, Tolum said that we as a Nyishi leader have always been advocating for unity, integrity, peace, prosperity of all tribes residing in the state as a brother. We have always been in the forefront. The highest population will always look forward to progress and development, communal harmony and peace in state. he said.
There may be challenges and problems in all walks of life but it would only be resolved by government, administration, police if some petty things arise and no communal line needs to be drawn as we all are brother and sister and have a greater responsibility to shoulder for the development of state. he said.
He urged upon the youth to play a greater role and shoulder responsibility for peace and responsibility for development of state. Tulom added.
NES General Secretary Heri Maring among other leaders from NACWS, NNA, ANYA and senior community leaders were present on the occasion.
