Tana Tagi Tara, kick boxer  given away with rousing welcome on his arrival back home at Nyorch

ITANAGAR, AUGUST 23 : The kickboxer Tana Tagi Tara who gold medal each in point fight and K1 event concluded Wako India Seniors and Masters National Kickboxing Championship in Chennai, Tamil Nadu was given away with rousing welcome by family members, relatives, friends and community members on his way back home at Nyorch near Papum Pare district headquarter, Yupia on Tuesday afternoon.

Several family members, relatives and family friends and community leaders were waiting for his arrival at his village Nyorch and welcomed him with great pleasure and happiness and prayed for all success in future endeavors.

While sharing his happiness to media, Kickboxer and gold medalist Tana Tagi Tara said that the Arunachal Pradesh has a huge potential and every players play well and it was a good team effort that our Arunachal Pradesh state team received a dozens of medals including six gold, four silver and 10 bronze medals in the just concluded Wako India Seniors and Masters National Kickboxing Championship in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. We are very excited that we have been selected in Asian championship and other international events and it is a happy moment for our players and me. He said. 

I am impressed upon my reception by a huge gathering of my family members, relatives, friends and well wishers and my father and mother who has always been a guiding force for my progress and development and has always stood behind me for my wellbeing and happiness. Said Tagi. 

The gold medal was received by myself in the fight and K1 event, Johny Mangkhiya and Monjit Yein clinched a gold medal each in point fight and K1 event, respectively.

Arunachal finished eighth overall in the championship and soon if all the players of various disciplines play well I am hopeful our state may reach and remain in top tally like other states of the country in all sporting activities. Tagi added.

He also urges the youth not to get involved in any kinds of drugs which have bad impact on the health and future of youths and appeals to every youth to join and play games and sports and become professional and also maintain good health with a fit body and sound mind.

The United Leil Tara Youth foundation (ULTYF) President Tana Susil, Pakkekessang district Olympic association General Secretary Tate Tayem, senior members Tana Tagam and other youths leader and father Taru Tana and mother Pakya Tana also share their happiness with gathering and media.
