Social worker Taba Tahi passed away, last rite to be performed on Friday at Depra

ITANAGAR, Social worker, reformer and a former PRI leader of Sangdupota circle of Papum Pare district Taba Tahi passed away at Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Science (TRIHMS), Naharlagun. He was 59 years and was not feeling well and was under medical treatment for his various ailments for quite some time.

Late Tahi son of Lt. Taba Pacha who was the head gaon bura (HGB) while the grandfather Lt. Taba Changriyang was a Public Interpreter (PI) during NEFA. Late Taba Tahi family has a great contribution in establishment of National Institute of Technology (NIT), Film & Television Institute (FTI)  and several other project in the area under Sangdupota circle and his contribution for the development of the area is appreciated by every section of people of the area, capital complex, district and state.  

Late Tahi has served as ASI under Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) in the (1984- 1985) and later joined politic and become Gram panchayat member, anchal samiti member in Jote panchayat, a founder Member of Tebw Lappa Welfare Society. he has always been advocating for the education of youths  and emphasis for employment and self employment. 

Late Tahi was a popular figure and loved by all for his humble nature and soft spokenness. His last rite will be performed at his native village Depra in Upper Balijan circle on Friday.

Tahi was a social reformer and also an expert in the local customs of the Nyishi community, due to which Tahi was popular in the community. His last rites will be performed on Friday at his native village Depra under Rakap Panchayat of Sangdupota circle.

Condolence messages have been poured from several sections and organisations on his demise and prayed for eternal peace of departed souls in heavenly abode.
