Prominent social worker Tami Bage passes away at 84; Kaso, TWS condoled the demise

Itanagar, Jan 19: Today, Itanagar mourns the loss of a revered public figure and social worker, Tami Bage, aged 84, who breathed his last at TRIHMS, Naharlagun at 3 pm on January 19, 2024. Born on March 1, 1940, in Gite Bage village, he played a pivotal role in the development of the capital complex.

Late Bage, known for his soft nature and good behavior, began his journey in the late 1960s. His contributions include the construction of the Doimukh-Sagalee road in 1968 and pivotal involvement in the establishment of the capital of Arunachal Pradesh.

As an entrepreneur and contractor since 1970, he actively participated in Si Donyi celebrations, even donating the Mithun for the first-ever celebration in Naharlagun in 1986. He holds credit for being the main land donor for NERIST and the Veterinary Farm area at Nirjuli.

Survived by 02 wives, 06 daughters, 03 sons, and 16 grandchildren, his blessings have shaped the lives of many. Despite his physical ailments, he remained resilient.

Local MLA Techi Kaso expressed deep sorrow, acknowledging Late Bage as one of the first settlers of Nirjuli in 1972.

The Tagin Cultural Society also conveyed heartfelt condolences, recognizing him as a prominent figure with a sterling reputation.
