ITANAGAR, Aug 13: One person died on spot while another sustained grievous injury in a road mishap on Itanagar-Hollongi road on Friday afternoon.
Itanagar Police station officer Incharge Inspector Phasang Simi informed that as per the FIR a young boy with a pillion rider on FZ Yamaha motorcycle was on its way to Balijan from Itanagar met with an accident and the rider died on the spot.
The accident took place near the garbage dumping ground on Itanagar-Hollongi road, he said.
As per the FIR, a four wheeler coming from opposite directions hit the motorcycle.
The passenger of the vehicle left the victims without attending them as alleged by the complainant in the FIR submitted by the elder brother of the deceased.
The deceased has been identified as Techi Pill, son of Techi Kecha of village Jullang, Tarasso Circle of Papum Pare district.
The co-rider, identified as Techi Maniya, is presently undergoing treatment.
A case has been registered in this connection at Itanagar Police station.
