ITANAGAR, Apr 23: The Capital Complex Karate Do Association’s first ever Capital Complex Karate Do Championship cum selection trial for 25th AKA State Level Karate Do Championship kicked off here at Marik Academy Chimpu on Saturday.
Altogether 14 clubs from different parts of Capital Complex are taking part in the championship
Roing MLA and NPP President Mutchu Mithi attended the inaugural programme as chief guest while public leader Tai Nikio was the guest of honour.
Mithi in his speech advised the participants to do more practice and hard work with the discipline so one day our karate team will not be number one the North East but also in international level
Attending the programme as Guest of honour, Er Tai Nikio advised the players to “play the game in true sportsmanship spirit and in a friendly manner.”
Organising Chairman Tadar Tarish while talking to Arunachal Front informed that altogether 14 clubs from different parts of Capital Complex are taking part in the championship.
He said around 250 participants including boys and girls are taking part.
Later, in the evening hours IMC Ward No-1 Corporator Lokam Anand attended and gave away the medals and certificates to winners.
Among other Arunachal Pradesh Football Association Secretary Kipa Ajay, CCKA general Secretary Sensei Sartam Tachu among others were also present on the occasion.
The students also demonstrated karate.
Arunachal Krate Do Association General Secretary Tai Hikip also spoke on the occasion.
