MLA Techi Kaso inaugurated permanent bridge connecting SLSA with Chimpu and Itanagar and dedicated to the people

CHIMPU, JAN 8 : The Itanagar local MLA Techi Kaso on Monday has inaugurated much needed permanent bridge over river Kongko and dedicated to the people. The bridge connecting Sange Laden sports academy (SLSA) and centre of excellence and directorate of Sports, Youths Affairs and SAA and under construction sports stadium with Chimpu and Itanagar.

Addressing the locals at a simple ceremony, the local MLA Kaso said that this bridge was much needed and the earlier one which was existing was damaged due to heavy rainfall, flashflood and landslide on both banks. Though due to weather condition it get delayed however the work was completed within the stipulated period. He said.

 The bridge project was constructed by the PWD Capital Division ‘A’ with an estimated cost of Rs. 3.10 ccrore and was executed by M/S S N Enterprises. I am happy to inaugurate this bridge as the people of the area has faced untold problem due to non availability of  a permanent bridge for around 2 years. The agency has also faced several problems in executing the works in bad weather and traffic flow during the day and even in evening hours however the work is complete and I dedicate the bridge to the people and let the bridge fill the communication gap and problems of the locals of the area in their day today life. Said Kaso.

Even today several CC Pavement roads and bridges are still under construction. All these projects are underway as per the needs and several projects has been proposed after viewing the problems being faced by the locals. Most of the project public oriented has been taken care by the Pema Khandu led government and approved and sanctioned in the greater interest of the public.  This bridge may serve lifeline for the people of Chimpu area. He said.

Several sector and colony of the twin capital city including Nirjuli has been taken up  and its is the duty and responsibility of the people to keep it intact so that these public oriented project serve as a major support in making life comfortable. Added MLA Kaso.

PWD Capital Circle SE C S Choutang inform that the Itanagar is fast developing city of the state and major developments are taking place. Several public oriented project under the initiative of local MLA has been taken up and are under execution. He said.

The CC Pavement are taken under the CMCRDP 2019-20  and the 1st phase work has been complete and around 70 KM length has been taken up in phase-I and more than 70% work under Phase-II has also been executed and hopeful that we could complete by the year end and 100% work is completed. We are also proposing for 3rd phase and several areas would be completed. SE Said.

The Jully-Papunallah road is also under execution. As per work executed around 70% works has been executed on the said stretch and hopeful that the work is completed with quality. With regards to the Papunallah-Donyi-Polo road the state government has approved around Rs. Ten crore for the same and the work may be executed. He added.

Ganga-Batt ZPM Taro Tagi attended as guest of honour, PWD Capital ‘A’ Tarh Gunkap, IMC Corporater Tarh Nachung, PRI leaders, local officer of PWD and other departments and public leaders, GB of the area were present during the inauguration ceremony.
