Member Secretary and Director, NERPC called on to Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh

Member Secretary, North Eastern Regional Power Committee, K. B. Jagtap, and Director NERPC, S. M. Aimol called on to the Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Chowna Mein who is the new Chairman of North Eastern Regional Power Committee (NERPC) at his official residence at Itanagar today.
In the meeting, Member Secretary and Director NERPC updated Mein about the latest developments and functions of the Committee during the meeting.
They discussed on various issues pertaining to Power Sector in North Eastern Region and the issues to be taken up under North Eastern Regional Power Committee (NERPC). They also discussed about the Comprehensive Scheme for Strengthening Transmission & Distribution System and ways to improve the general power system across the Northeast region where Mein expressed his pleasure in learning that actionable steps are already being taken towards this goal. The officials also informed the completion of tower erection from Chapakhowa to Roing 132 KV Double Circuit and Niglok to Pasighat, as well as the progress of the Kathalguri to Namsai 220KV Double Circuit project. The Chairman expressed his satisfaction with the progress of these projects.
The meeting also discussed the venue for hosting the next 24th TCC/NERPC (Technical Coordination Committee / North Eastern Regional Power Committee) meeting, which will be held in Arunachal Pradesh in the month of June 2023, preferably at Tawang.
The Chairman expressed his desire to work closely with all the constituent members of the committee for the successful implementation of all the programs and improving the power scenario in NER.
Advisor to Minister (Power), Balo Raja, Advisor to Deputy Chief Minister, Anupam Tangu, Chief Engineer, Power (Transmission), Ginko Linggi and SE Power, Nangkong Perme were also present in the meeting.
