DOIMUKH, May 4 : The 1st ever Taha Atu memorial bilateral series cricket tourney began here at AB cricket ground in Doimukh with participation of two major team of Capital complex and Papum Pare.
Arunachal Cricket Association (ACA) President T C Tok and Secretary Nabam Vivek and host of leaders from cricket and others organization attended the inaugural ceremony.
Addressing inaugural ceremony, ACA President TC Tok said that it is happy moment for us that the cricket is also getting popular slowly and time has come that every upcoming youth should involve in the games and sports which had great benefit for sports lovers. Every youngsters should play any times of games and sports and join in any sports discipline so that they can maintain a good health and physical fitness and stay long life and have a sound mind. Said Tok.
The ACA will help all the registered organization and district cricket association for promotion of cricket in state and at the same time the players should also show special interest so that the association can help them grow and become a good player to play for district, state and country and the biggest achievement is that the youths will go away from the clutch of deadly drug and stay and happy and peaceful life even if they do no play any specific games and ports.
He appeal the parents and school authority to emphasis that every students play any types of games and sports to remain fit and fine with a healthy body and sound mind and also can avail benefit of government employment opportunity.
ACA Secretary Nabam Vivek in his address has assured all support to all those players who like to play for state with a commitment and sincerity. He ask the players to devote fully in cricket so they become a professional cricketer and able to play in t20, one day and league match and test match series with others states and also able to take part in other places of country. Said Vivek.
Earlier the cricket was not so important and popular among the youths in various parts of state but after the registration with the BCCI the cricket is being popularized by all section of society and is a good sign of promotion of games and sports. He said.
Though the players might have been facing some problem in getting practice but whatever facility we have at present are fully utilized and soon the work of cricket infrastructure is underway and once the stadium and academy is completed there will be no problem for carrying out activities of cricket in state. All the facilities being given ot players of other state are also being provided and abused full support of state cricket association as per provision of BCCI. Added ACA Secretary Nabam Vivek.

The 1st ever Taha Atu memorial bilateral series 2023-24 ( multi-days/test matches series) jointly organised by Papum Pare district cricket association (PDCA) and Itanagar cricket association (ICA) under the aegis of Arunachal cricket association (ACA) from May 4th to 7th.
Several district cricket association president and executive members and family members of the Taha Atu among others were present on the occasion.
The 1st Match of this Bilateral series of 3 test matches kicked off today morning at where PDCA in its 1st inning managed to score 220 runs losing all their 10 wickets in 66.2 overs after winning the toss while Team Itanagar Cricket Association(ICA) couldn’t face the pace attacks of their opponent & could only score 67 runs after losing 5 early wickets & thereby trails by 153 runs till stumps on day one. ICA players hopes to bounce back with more runs on the second day of the 1st match on 5th May 2023.
TeshiTiku of PDCA Scored brilliant 53 runs in 79 balls hitting 10 fours to the fence.
1st TABMS 2023-24 is also expected to gather more applause from all the sectors in its upcoming 2nd& 3rd Matches which is scheduled to be conducted as per the calendar dates of PDCA & ICA.
