Bhalukpong, March 25: Environment & Forest Minister Mama Natung on Friday visited Bhalukpong on his way to Tawang. He met the officials of district administration and officials of Environment & Forest department and other leaders of the area.
He lauded the work of all stakeholders for their sincere effort in making an awareness campaign on Airgun surrender abhiyan. He emphasized that any campaign would be successful until cooperation and support from all stakeholders.
He appealed to the officers, officials and all sections of society including PRI leaders, students and youth leaders and general public to extend helping hands in protection, preservation of flora and fauna and wildlife and green and clean environment.
Natung also directed the officers of the forest department to cooperate with all people including locals to prevent forest fires and wanton destruction of forest.
