Sidisow emphasis on unity in diversity and preservation of aged old culture for peace, progress and development of tribal society

BOMDILA, MARCH 25 ; Thrizino-Buragaon MLA and Environment & Forest department Advisor Kumsi Sidisow attending the central losar festival celebration-2022 (water tiger-2149) here has emphasis the unity in diversity of all tribes of state with preservation of aged old cultural heritage for peace, progress and development of state and county.

Sidisow said that today we are celebrating the festival of monpa tribe, and other day festivals of other tribes and all the festivals of various tribes remind us of our traditional values and rich cultural heritage and ethos of the society. We have to participate in other tribes’ festivals which will strengthen our relationship with other tribes and unite us for a strong society for communal harmony and brotherhood and all round envelopment of state and country. 

Sidisow further appeal west Kameng indigenous peoples society (WKIPS), West Kameng district students union (AWKDSU) and youths to come  forward and support the police and administration and all those who are engaged in fight against the drug menace which is affecting the life of youthful life.    

Kalaktang  MLA DW Karma, Bomdila-Nafra MLA Dongru Siongju attended the function as special guest and addressed the function.

West Kameng SP Bharat Reddy attended the function as guest of honour. Addressing the function, SP Reddy thanked the Buddhist society for inviting him on the special occasion. 

The new year must be filled with happiness and good health for all. He said. 

Raising serious concern on the drug menace, SP Reddy said that we all must come together to fight the menace of drugs. War against drugs is a group’s effort and the entire society must act to stop the spread. He also stressed the importance of awareness on cybercrimes. West Kameng is seeing a rise in victims of cybercrimes and urged all to not be lured by fake callers and share their personal details. Prevention is the easy and effective solution against both drug abuse and cybercrimes.

The programme was organised by Bomdila Buddhist cultural society.

WKIPS General secretary Passang Dorjee Megiji, Monpa Mimang Tsokpa President Dorjee Phuntso, ZPM Akhil Kumar Jebisow, Leki Sakrinsow, AWKDSU President Wangchen Norbu,  HoDs of various department of West Kameng district and general public and cultural teams from various parts of district takes part in the celebration,
