Libang urges the DSOs to disseminate the knowledge to others for strengthening the treatment system and improving health scenarios.

NAHARLAGUN, SEPT 20 : The health & family welfare and SJETA Minister Alo LIbang on Tuesday while lauding the role of frontline workers and frontline warriors in talking the outbreak and controlling the epidemic and urged upon them to disseminate the knowledge to younger so that the treatment system is strengthened and improve the health scenario of state. 

The health minister Libang was addressing the valedictory function of two day workshop of district surveillance officers (DSO), date operation and epidemiology here at a city hotel. The two days training and workshop was of 3×3 epidemiology training for frontline public health workforce and also the regional review meeting of IDSP for North East region.

While appreciating the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) Delhi for conducting a 3×3 Basic Epidemiology in-service training course in Arunachal Pradesh and successfully completing the three such training after Covid 19 pandemic is a great achievement. Learning is a never ending process and everyone should try to get proper training and knowledge before carrying out several related issues. He said. 

The training would help the public health workers on the front lines and strengthen the capacity to prevent, detect, investigate, and respond to public health events and disease outbreaks. Said Libang.

He assured all support of the state government for strengthening the investigation system and improvement of the health scenario of the state on all front. he also assured to take up the matter of SDO of which the memorandum has been received would be considered in due course of time on priority basis. 

The health minister further informs that the central government has approved an IDSP centre for state and state government has allotted a land at Hollongi near airport and soon the formalities for construction work of establishment and centre world will be taken place by CPWD.

Certificate of participation were givne away to the participants and other activities including performances certificates were given away to the staffs and officials of IDSP

Several officers from all north eastern states of the country, NCDC, CDC and WHO were present on the occasion. 

Several presentation were given away on scrub typhus investigation, chickenpox, mushroom poisoning, measles outbreak.
