NAHARLAGUN, AUGUST 9 ; The Itanagar municipal corporation (IMC) Ward No-14 Corporater Gyamar Tuvin on Tuesday has inspected several damaged caused in Rakap village/colony and Pachin area of his ward and interacted the victims.
Corporater Tuvin inform that the damaged was massive and it was caused due to flash flood in Pachin river on wee hours of Monday. Dozens of RCC, SPT and OBT houses has been damaged few are completely and beyond repairing. Several family members are in fear physosis and they are in need of help and support and protection measures. The IMC Corporater said.
It is a testing time and during the monsoon everyone need to remain alert and maintain precautionary measures and it would be better the people living in vulnerable area can shift to relief camps established by capital administration as a safety measures. He said.
I will speaks to officers of capital administration and IMC authority and even approach to local MLA for support to the victim family. Till such time from the IMC Mayor side a sum of Five lakhs will be supported for construction of spur on the bank of river pachin as a safety measures, it is a small amount but the best way to remain safe is to remain away from such vulnerable area during the disaster to save life and property.
