BALIJAN, AUG 29 : The Home & Border Affairs Minister Bamang Felix in presence of Doimukh local MLA Tana Hali Tara, DGP Anand Mohan, DC Chechung Chukhu, SP Taru Gusar and host of dignitaries and public leaders has dedicated a magnificent Police station building with office of SDPO Balijan for the public services.
Dedicating the newly constructed Police station Balijan building with SDPO office, the Home and Border Affairs Minister Bamang Felix said that the service of the police station is for correcting the people those who goes to wrong track under the amid of law. The role of police should be to help the needy people who are in dire need to help in case of emergency and distress.
Home Minister congratulating the people of Balijan and adjoining area for a new and permanent structure and said that the permanent structure should be better utilized for the purpose for which it has been established for which the local and general people has to cooperate the police administration for keeping the area in peace, tranquility and also the friendly atmosphere should promote communal harmony brotherhood among the people living on both side of the border. Said Home Minister.
There would be no peace with only help of the police and even after deployment of army but the people can keep the place in peace if we all take people alongwith administration take the responsibility. He said
The police and such facility are required in case there are natural calamity, accidents and incident where police force and military and disaster management authority and fire fighter are needed for support, however they will always see and ensure that the people do not created law and order problem and the area remain in peace and development prevail of various schemes of the Pema Khandu led government in state. Said Home Minister.
Balijan is located on inter-state bordering with Assam and there can be peace and tranquility if the people living on both side maintain communal harmony, brotherhood and maintain cordial relationship with people living on both side. The border issue is going for a permanent solution hardly few places and instances which may also resolved and the issue is resolved with the commitment to resolve by the Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Assam CM and support of Union Home Minister and central government. we should to cooperate them in resolving the vexed issue which has been prevailing for decades for keeping peace in the region. There has been every change and reformation in state police and during few years more than 700-800 has been given promotion. More than 300 personnel has been promoted to ASI. More than 15000 sanctioned police post, 12000 are there, 3000 are under recruitment process even in case we have the capacity but the actual strength work on ground are around
Three-five thousand has been few fire station approved in papum pare and are under construction while few has been proposed for future.
I have announced for a police out post Sangdupota subject to land availability. He Said.
If we continue with the development and welcome the guest, tourist the peace, progress and development will takes place and at the same times the economic sustainability of the locality will also grow. He said.
He also appeal the general and local people to protect the police station for longer use and sustainability.
Referring to the transfer of jurisdiction of Hollongi out post form Capital police to Papum Pare police, the Home Minister informed that the proposal is under active consideration of the government, The demand of the public is under considered and soon the state government may informed the public of the action taken.
Doimukh MLA and AH. Vety & DD Minister Advisor Tana Hali Tara in his address said that it is a happy occasion that the area got a magnificent police station and SDPO office building will be utilized for a better purpose for the people of Balijan area. .
It was a long charter of demand has been fulfilled by Pema Khandu led government and fulfilled by Home .mnister Bamang Felix.
He congratulated the guests and people of the area for getting a new building of the most important institution for the area. Said local MLA Hali.
We are all Indian and it is not the responsibility of police to maintain the law and order but it is everyone responsibility to abide by the law of land to maintain peace, tranquility and development. Our government is committed to work of development of state and welfare of people of state. Said Hali.
Papum Pare SP Taru Gusar inform that the Balijan Police station covers the area of Kokila, Sangdupota, Tarasso area. Even in the limited manpower the area is being managed.
Today is a happy moment that the inauguration of magnificent Balijan PS and SDPO but some more expectation is there for other infrastructure. Said Gusar.
DGP Anand Mohan congratulated the people on the occasion and assured to takeup the matter of other facilities with the government. he also inform of the undergoing recruitment process and scope for manpower which may be posted to various location as per requirement.
The Bjn PS established in 1988 and the old using was not sufficient and a new building having all facilities was constructed by APP Housing & welfare corporation with an estimated cost of Rs. 2.30 (2019-20).
The police station having all facilities including the room for SDPO Balijan, 2 lock-up, kote, malkhana, guard room, IO’s room, conference hall, barrack, recreation room, WT Room, garage for three.
Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Cheechung Chukhu, Balijan ADC Dr. Marchina Boria, ZPM of Balijan, Tarasso, senior officer from police and civil administration, social workers, public leaders, GBs and general public among to other were present on the occasion.
A one minute silence was also made to remember Late Mari Riba, IGP who passed away recently as a mark of respect to the departed soul for rest in peace in heavenly bode.
