DBS lift up 2nd inter school basketball tournament for both boys and girls

ITANAGAR, AUGUST 14 : The Don Bosco school, Jullang on Sunday lift up both the boys and girls 2nd inter-School Basketball Tournament was conducted in the final match held at Delhi Public school (DPS) Jollang.

The final matches were held at DPS for between Royal International School and Don Bosco School, jollang for boys while the final match of girls were held between K.V no. I itanagar and Don Bosco School, Jollang. The  winner of the tournament was Don Bosco School Jollang in both the categories.

It was the 4th day and the both the final match was played with presence of huge gathering being the azadi ka amrit mahotsave celebration and 75 year of India independence and 50 years of Arunachal Pradesh celebration. 

All total 13 schools from various parts of capital and state take parts with 5 grill and 13 teams of boys takes part with theme “ Drugs choro kehl se joro”. 

The spirit of both the players and audience were consistenly high throughout the matches. The winning as well as loosing teams were equally satisfied by the organization of the tournament and concluded the matches with positive spirit. 

Marshina Tayem(girl) of Don Bosco School bagged three awards (Defensive player of the tournament, Highest scorer and MVP). 

Jaan Sono of Don Bosco School Jollang bagged  two awards ( MVP and Highest Scorer). Boys category 

Khoda Maz of Royal International School bagged Defensive player of the tournament. Boys category

The prizes were distributed by host of dignitaries which include Youth welfare officer of School education directorate L Sokum Singh as chief guest, Special secretary to Speaker (APLA) P N Thongchi as guest of honour, DPS Director S Gupta as special guest who also address the audience and motivated the youths to play any types of games and sport and become a good professional and bring laurel to state and country.
