CS visited cremation cum burial ground, takes part in plantation drive

ITANAGAR, JULY 10 ; The Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar today visited the burial cum cremation ground Itanagar and participated in mass social service cum tree plantation drive.
The drive was organised by Yuva Against Corruption Sangh (YACS) Arunachal Pradesh and WINGS Foundation AP in collaboration with District Administration Itanagar Capital Complex.

The volunteers of YACS and WINGS had been carrying out social service at the Burial ground since Monday along with plantation drive, informed EAC Datum Gadi Who has been looking after all the works related to the burial ground on behalf of District Administration . He said that the volunteers, all  comprising of youths are working with zeal and enthusiasm to improve the condition of the ground that has been witnessing final goodbye to the departed souls by their family members.

The CS was accompanied by senior State Government Officers which include Secretary Civil aviation and the DC ICC Talo Potom and others.

Chief secretary inform the media that the burial cum cremation ground need some improvement and as per immediate requirement I find that the water supply and a fencing is required and I have assured to extend help for the purpose. He said.

The place need boundary fencing and water supply for which a bore well will be constructed while I have directed for erection of bamboo fencing around the campus and have also directed that the under construction building by UD department may be completed by next two months. CS added.

While lauding the youths of Yuva Against Corruption Sangh and WINGS Foundation Chief secretary said that youths have a greater role to play and motivated the youths to go for such social works for the betterment of society at large.
