CM to unveil statue of Bhagavan Buddha at RK Mission School, Narottam Nagar on Jan 23

ITANAGAR, Jan 21: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu will unveil a statue of Bhagavan Buddha and lay the foundation stone of the proposed convention hall of Ramakrishna Mission School, Narottam Nagar in Deomali under Tirap district on Monday.

The occasion will take place as part of the second phase of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar on January 23, 2023 being the birthday of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose.

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, PHE & WS, DoTCL Minister Wangki Lowang, State Chief Secretary Dharmendra and Principal Secretary Kaling Tayeng will also accompany the Chief Minister at the event.

Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission general secretary Swami Suviranandaji will preside over the meeting.

Regarding the proposed unveiling of the statue of Bhagavan Buddha at Ramakrishna Mission School, Narottam Nagar, Chief Minister Khandu suggested during the first phase of the Golden Jubilee celebration of the RK Mission held in May 2022 while attending the annual prize-giving ceremony of the school and join the 125th Foundation Day celebrations of Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math in West Bengal.Monks from different parts of Northeast India and Bhantes from Arunachal Pradesh will join the function along with the local populace.
