Police arrest man who killed his 2-year-old son in Arunachal Pradesh

Tawang, January 23: In a shocking case reported from Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, a man allegedly killed his two-year-old son. According to Bomge Kamduk, Superintendent of Police, Tawang, the incident took place at around 9 pm Sunday evening. Since then the accused father identified as Ashok Kumar is absconding. Later all check gates have been alerted. 

According to sources the accused runs a grocery shop near the Tri-junction on Brigade road, Tawang. The victim’s son Aman who was barely 2 years and 3 days old. Preliminary investigation is underway, the SP said. 

With the cooperation of all the people of Tawang and West Kameng district, District Police Tawang arrested the alleged accused Ashok Kumar alias Ranbir Singh in connection with Tawang PS case No. 01/2023  U/S- 302/325 IPC today. The criminal was caught today in Jung Kharsa by Yeshi Phuntsok, Gram Chairperson, Jung Kharsa and his friends who was trying to flee in a white coloured alto.

After informing Police, OC Jang police station Pema Wangchu and his team rushed to the spot and apprehended him.

Locals of Tawang demanded that strict action will be initiated against such criminals and will be punished as per law, so that in future people think twice before committing such crimes.
