Christian community of state celebrated 44th ACF foundation day in befitting manner

NAHARLAGUN, Apr 17 : The Christian community of state on Monday celebrated the 44th foundation day of Arunachal Christian forum (ACF) in a befitting manner with lots of joy. The day-long programme marks the day in various districts and other parts of the state. 

Doimukh MLA and Veterinary Ministers advisor Tana Hali Tara and former ACF President Khyoda Apik attended the function as chief guest and guest of honour respectively and addressed the function. Both the leaders motivated the gathering to work for strengthening of churches and its movement toward education, communal harmony, brotherhood and all round development of state. 

Addressing the function, the Doimukh MLA spoke on corruption free election process, we should live unitedly. We being lawmakers also have responsibility but all works need to be taken up unitedly. We should pray for peace, progress and development of all people living on the earth and humanity. He said.

God is there and if we pray to God in true sense we may reach our destiny so we need to believe in God and pray for the wellbeing of all humanity. Added MLA Hali.

Guest of honor Khyoda Apik shared his experience being three time former President of ACF and asked the believers to work unitely so that what we want would come to us but may take time depending on the hard work and determination and sincerity. He thanks the founder members of the organization who still like and laude their role in strengthening the church movement. 

He said that the Christian missionary of state are equally shouldering the responsibility and taking part in state development in various field especially in education sector but the state government hardly bother about it but at the same time the sated government is providing huge fund to other NGOs running school that of RKM and VKV etc and appeal the for equality. He said.

He lauded the team led by Tarh Miri, James Techi Tara and others and requested them to represent the Christina community for all the grievances and issues with the state government and all platforms for resolution. He questions the silence of lawmakers from the community on various issues of ACF. Added Apik.

ACF President Tarh Miri briefs various activities of the organization including presidential address.  Secretary general James Techi Tara spoke on various ongoing issues which include Tawang church, department of indigenous affairs etc. APCA President Taw Tebin, ACF Advisor Toko Kach, Organising Chairman Rev Dr. Tagang Gelo, Organising Secretary Evan Nabam NIba HIna and others also address the occasion.  

Representatives from various districts also attended the celebration which was held at NBCC mission complex, Naharlagun.
