Baily Bridge Collapse in Yingkiong Causes Disruptions, No Casualties Reported

Yingkiong, June 19: In a devastating incident today, a baily bridge in the Bomdo village area collapsed around 10.20 am, causing significant disruptions to the transportation network. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties resulting from the bridge collapse.

The collapse of the bridge has severely affected the connectivity of adjoining villages and the entire Tuting Sub-Division. This incident has created immense inconvenience for local residents, businesses, and travelers who heavily rely on this crucial transportation route.

However, in response to the emergency situation, officials from the Border Roads Organization (BRO) have swiftly initiated the construction of an alternative bridge diversion. The BRO sources have informed that the diversion work is already in progress and is estimated to be completed within the next 4-5 days.
