Assam Rifles Promotes Green Initiative with Tree Plantation Drive in Arunachal Pradesh

Changlang:- On July 24, 2023, Assam Rifles organized a tree plantation drive in Khimyong village, Manmao village, and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidhyalaya in Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh. The event aimed to raise awareness about the vital role of trees in maintaining a healthy ecosystem and to foster a greener and cleaner environment in the region.

The initiative witnessed active participation from the local villagers and students, who joined hands with the Assam Rifles troops to plant saplings in substantial numbers. The total count of saplings planted during the drive was an impressive 1,970, distributed as follows: 610 saplings in Khimyong, 540 saplings in Manmao, and 820 saplings at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidhyalaya.
