Under the theme “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav- Unity,” Assam Rifles recently organized a visit for school children to Tob Rangran as part of the government’s initiative to integrate villagers residing in border areas into the mainstream. The visit, aimed at fostering a sense of unity and promoting interaction between the children and the security forces (SF), was a resounding success.
The event commenced with the arrival of students at the COB (Company Operating Base). To kick-start the day on a refreshing note, the children were treated to tea and refreshments. Various engaging activities, including musical chairs, shooting at the goal, and dodgeball, were organized, ensuring a fun-filled and lively atmosphere for all participants.
Following the conclusion of the activities, an interactive session was held, allowing the children to engage with the troops present. This interaction proved to be an enriching experience for the students, as they gained insights into the lives of the security forces and their dedication to serving the nation. The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards Assam Rifles for granting them the opportunity to witness the life of the SF firsthand and even expressed their aspirations of joining the security forces in the future.
The event reached its pinnacle with a prize distribution ceremony honoring the winners of the various activities. The deserving participants were rewarded for their exemplary performances, fostering a sense of accomplishment and encouraging their continued engagement. Subsequently, a sumptuous lunch was provided to all attendees, further solidifying the bond between the school children and the Assam Rifles.
As the day drew to a close, the organizers promised more such events in the future, reinforcing their commitment to community integration and fostering unity among the residents of border areas.
