ITANAGAR, JUNE 22 : The traffic movement on Banderdewa-Nirjuli on National Highway-415 has been closed due to heavy downpour and damaged of portion of culvert and formation of road at Karisngsa block pint on Thursday afternoon.
The Itanagar Capital complex Deputy Commissioner Talo Potom inform that “Due to heavy rainfall the formation of under construction road near Karsingsa block point has been washed away and the width of the road has been reduced due to continuous erosion”. The road is risky for free flow of traffic movement and detrimental for loss of life and property. Said DC Potom.
The Naharlagun PWD Highway division Nirjuli has ask for diversion of traffic movement between Banderdewa- Nirjuli till the culvert is restored. The DC said.
In view of heavy downpour and washed away of formation and damage in culvert all the vehicular movement (two wheeler, three wheeler, four wheeler, light vehicle and heavy motor vehicle) between Banderdewa-Nirjuli to Naharlagun and Itanagar is hereby diverted through Harmuti-Gumto-Doimukh road till the road is restored for traffic worthy. DC Potom added.
