Assam Rifles Organizes Mass Cleanliness Drive in Changlang District

In an effort to promote cleanliness and hygiene under the government’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Campaign), the Assam Rifles recently organized a mass cleanliness drive in three villages of Changlang District, Arunachal Pradesh.

The drive commenced in Phangtip village, where the local residents were encouraged to maintain clean and green surroundings. The villagers were provided with valuable information regarding the prevention of common seasonal diseases like Typhoid and Malaria. They were educated about recognizing symptoms and adopting preventive measures to safeguard their health and ensure a healthy environment within the village.

After Phangtip, the drive continued to Laktong and New-Saban villages, witnessing an enthusiastic response from the villagers. The efforts of Assam Rifles and CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) were highly appreciated by the village’s GBs (Gaon Burahs) and GPMs (Gaon Panchayat Members). These village leaders acknowledged the role of the security forces in motivating and inspiring the local populace to actively participate in maintaining cleanliness and preserving the environment.

A total of 65 villagers actively took part in the cleanliness drive, joining hands with the troops from Assam Rifles and CRPF. The event concluded with the villagers expressing gratitude towards the troops for their constant motivation and support in their pursuit of cleanliness and a greener environment.

The Assam Rifles’ initiative serves as a commendable example of collaborative efforts between security forces and local communities to create awareness about hygiene, promote public health, and contribute to the overall development of the region.
