Assam Rifles Organises Successful Tree Plantation Drive in Arunachal Pradesh

CHANGLANG: – On 23rd July 2023, Assam Rifles organized a large-scale tree plantation drive in the villages of Rangran, Longran, Hedman, and Yongchik in Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh. The initiative aimed at raising awareness about the crucial role trees play in maintaining a healthy ecosystem and fostering a greener and cleaner environment.

The plantation drive saw enthusiastic participation from both the villagers and the Assam Rifles troops. With a collective effort, a total of 1980 saplings were planted across the four villages. The distribution of saplings was as follows: Rangran received 350 saplings, Longran 425, Hedman 630, and Yongchik 575.

The locals were extremely appreciative of the Assam Rifles’ efforts to motivate and engage them in environmental conservation. They expressed their gratitude for organizing such an initiative that not only contributes to a sustainable environment but also enhances the beauty of their villages.
