ITANAGAR, Aug 30: Kipa Ajay, Honorary Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh Football Association is all set to contest for the post of Honorary Treasurer of All India Football Federation (AIFF) in the Federation’s Election of the Executive Committee to be held on 2nd September in New Delhi.
Kipa has filed his nomination in the apex footballing body of the country becoming the first ever candidate from the entire Northeast region to contest for the post of Honorary Treasurer in AIFF.
He will be contesting against Gopalkrishna Kosaraju, President of Andhra Pradesh Football Association for the said post.
Meanwhile, Kalyan Chaubey, former Mohan Bagan Goalkeeper will be facing former Indian Football Team Captain Baichung Bhutia for the post of President.
The final list of contesting candidates for various posts in Election of the Executive Committee of AIFF- 2022 was released today by the appointed Returning Officer.
Arunachal Pradesh Football Association in its official statement conveyed its best wishes to Mr. Kipa for the election.
