Arunachal Pradesh Police personnel honored with prestigious medals for exemplary service

Apur Bitin, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Administration, Arunachal Pradesh, has been awarded the prestigious President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the police department.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy SP) Tabi Bage and Sub Inspector (SI) Kenter Tacha have been honored with the Police Medal for Meritorious Service, highlighting their commendable dedication and exemplary performance in their respective roles within the police force.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to social media to extend his heartfelt congratulations to IGP Apur Bitin, Dy SP Tabi Bage, and SI Kenter Tacha. He expressed pride in their accomplishments and wished them continued success in their service to Arunachal Pradesh.

CM Khandu’s message on social media platform X read, “Heartiest congratulations to Shri Apur Bitin, IGP, Admin, Arunachal Pradesh Police, who has bagged the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, and Tabi Bage, Dy SP, for receiving Police Medal for Meritorious Service. Proud of you. Best wishes!”

In a detailed account of SI Kenter Tacha’s journey, it was revealed that he joined the police force in 1989 as a constable. Despite the challenges, he pursued his education and climbed through the ranks, ultimately achieving the position of Sub-Inspector in 2019. His exceptional dedication and successful handling of cases earned him numerous commendation certificates and recognition from senior officials, including the State Governor and the Indian Navy.

SI Kenter Tacha’s continuous pursuit of education, combined with his exemplary performance in various districts, has solidified his reputation as a diligent and committed officer in the Arunachal Pradesh Police.
