Arunachal Pradesh Governor K T Parnaik Triumphs Over Adverse Weather, Concludes Successful Tirap Visit

Khonsa, Dec 8: Despite facing challenging weather conditions, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General (Retd) K T Parnaik concluded his second visit to Tirap on December 7-8, fostering unity and development. The visit, centered around the theme ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, aur Sabka Prayas,’ aimed to strengthen ties among the Tirap public, GoAP officials, GBs, Chiefs, and PRI members.

During the visit, Governor Parnaik reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to tribal communities through the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY). He urged Tirap residents to actively engage in and benefit from flagship programs initiated by the Indian Government.

Addressing concerns raised by ZPC Tirap and President ATGBWA, Governor Parnaik assured prioritized posting of administrative officers and the construction of a guest house for GBs in Khonsa town. Emphasizing the importance of concerted efforts for VBSY success, he urged GoAP officials to work in mission mode for 100% program saturation.

On December 8th, at Thinsa village, Governor Parnaik, accompanied by the First Lady Anagha Parnaik, recognized meritorious students under the Beti Bachao – Beti Padao schemes and awarded Dulari Kanya certificates. The Governor, along with District Parbari Atees Kumar Singh and DC Tirap Hento Karga, visited the Seva Aapke Dwar 2.0 camp at Thinsa village.

Governor Parnaik flagged off 1 AGEY vehicle for 1 Self Help Group of Khonsa Block, funded by Arunachal State Rural Livelihood Mission under Arunachal Grameen Express Yojana (AGEY). Beneficiary Smt Aman Wangsa (Longtum SHG) of Longo village received a revolving fund of 2250000/- (30000 per SHG).

The camp distributed Job Cards, ST/PRC, Birth Certificates, LPG Cylinders, and farm machinery to beneficiaries. The Governor and the First Lady actively participated in the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ signature campaign.

Notable attendees included MLA Khonsa East Wanglam Sawin, MLA Khonsa West Chakat Aboh, ZPC Tirap Chathong Lowang, DDP Anand Mohan, DC Hento Karga, and SP Rahul Gupta, IPS.

Governor Parnaik’s visit, marked by constructive discussions and commitments to development, showcased the state’s dedication to inclusive growth despite adverse weather conditions.
