Arunachal Entrepreneur Tarh Nachung Honored with Top Tata Dealer Award at International Conference in Lisbon

In a remarkable achievement for the state of Arunachal Pradesh, Tarh Nachung, an entrepreneur and the President of Arunachal Chamber of Commerce and Industries, has been presented with the prestigious Tata dealer award for his company, Tarh Motors. The award recognizes the outstanding market share performance in pickups (LPU+SUP).

At a recent international conference held in Lisbon, Portugal, Girish Wagh, the Executive Director of Tata Motors Ltd, handed over the award to Tarh Nachung, who is the proprietor of Tarh Motors. This achievement is even more impressive as Tarh Motors became the sole LLP commercial vehicle dealer in Arunachal Pradesh and managed to rise to the top rank among 650 Tata dealers across the country in just one and a half years since taking over the dealership.

Expressing his surprise and gratitude, Nachung stated that achieving this feat was a herculean task. Tarh Motors, located at Lekhi village along National Highway-415, has been playing a crucial role in providing transportation services to the hilly state of Arunachal Pradesh. The company recently expanded its operations by opening a branch in Pasighat’s centurion town, 4 Mile, to cater to the markets of East, West, Lower and Upper Siang, Shi-Yomi, Lower and Dibang Valley, Lohit, and Namsai districts.

Tarh Motors aims to address the vehicle purchase and maintenance needs of these districts, which were previously dependent on Assam and Itanagar. Understanding the significance of transportation in the development of the state, Nachung emphasized that having adequate transportation facilities is key to progress.

In his future plans, Nachung revealed that Tarh Motors intends to open a new branch in Namsai on July 21 to serve the districts of Tirap, Changlang, and Longding. Moreover, they have targeted Bomdila for their next branch, which will cater to the districts of West Kameng and Tawang. These expansions are expected to create employment opportunities for the local youth, who can purchase vehicles through financing options provided by Tata Motor Finance Company (TMFC), Mahindra & Mahindra Finance Co Ltd, Chelsa, and Indi Bank associated with Tata Motors.

Tarh Nachung’s remarkable achievement and Tarh Motors’ expansion plans signify a significant boost to the trade and commerce of Arunachal Pradesh, bringing the remote state to new heights and fostering economic growth and development.
