APWWS advocates for special leave and recognition on International Women’s Day

Itanagar, Feb 7: The Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society, led by President APWWS (CEC) Kani Nada Maling, has submitted a heartfelt representation to the Chief Secretary, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh through under secretary to chief secretary Ms. Miranda Pertin, APCS.

The society fervently pleads for the allocation of special leave for working women on International Women’s Day, March 8th.

The representation also implores the Chief Secretary to make a conscious effort in refraining from engaging women in government work, including examination duty and other official engagements, on this crucial day.

The society believes that such measures will play a pivotal role in empowering women to actively participate in commemorating Women’s Day, thereby acknowledging and honoring their invaluable contributions to society.

President APWWS (CEC) expresses optimism that the Chief Secretary’s endorsement of this initiative would not only symbolize recognition of women’s tireless efforts but also serve as a catalyst for fostering gender equality within workplaces and beyond.
