APTOA to hold its 13th travel congress at Kabu- Kambu and Kamba in west Siang District from 19th to 22nd January 2023

ITANAGAR, Jan 17: To promote the Rural Tourism and Holistic Approach for sustainable growth and progress of engine of development, the Arunachal Pradesh tour operators Association (APTOA) is all set to organizing their 13th  travel congress at kabu- kambu and Kamba in west Siang District from 19th to 22nd January 2023.

Addressing newsperson here at Arunachal press club , APTOA president John Panye inform that Tourism stakeholders in Arunachal Pradesh has been playing pivotal role in promotion and development of Tourism sector in the State to the outside world for last 3 decades . The tourism sector is not only providing revenue generation but also providing self sustainability, self employment and local area development though way side amenities in the form of homes stay, rural tourism, cultural tourism and natural tourism. He said.

During covid-19 Pandemic Tourism industry was badly affected and it was  shut down for almost 2 years and but now its open up for trade Inbound tourism is just yet to speed up and with a hope for better years ahead for Arunachal Tourism to grow as well as the stakeholders in the industry. 

During the travel congress APTOA will be having its general conference to select New Executive Body for the session 2023-2026. Arunachal Pradesh a veritable treasure house of nature, tuck away in the North Eastern trip of India is one of the most fascinations yet lastly unexplored tourism destination not only in India but also of the world. The state has been opening itself to the vast yet untapped Potential of tourism as a source of livelihood as well as a medium for promoting the strength of the state to the outside world. As an emerging tourism destination, Arunachal has been reckoned with various recognitions.  As the centre point of Siang and it has lot to offer within the area from rich culture, Festivals, Culinary, rafting, angling, kayaking, trekking, rituals, cycling, biking, weaving, handicraft and so more on With accessibility setting ;hum better in the Siang region with Pasighat airport in operation and with Bogibeel bridge makes Siang region the most accessible destination of central Arunachal is reason for the choosing for conduct our events in the area.  At the event all the Govt registered tour operators of the state coming together in the one place. And will be share the innovative ideas, experience and also will be discuses on the improvements of tourism industry in Arunachal Pradesh and market Arunachal Pradesh in various tourism travel, fairs & festivals all across the country and globally. There will be brain storming plenary sessions and panel discussion, exchange of ideas and experiences, talks on motivations, future, trends and example opportunities for networking to make the travel congress more meaningful and real memorial one. We are organizing panel discussion, familiarization tours to empower the people on tourism and its growth in sustainable way without harming the people, culture, and nature so to say in a very holistic manner. Including Tourism potential development in Siang Region. Homestay Ethics & expectations- a sustainable source of economy , Adventure and Ecotourism Activities, Prospects & challenges • Nature, culture and conservation etc. Further he also urged the state Govt to immediately constitute State Tourism Board to strengthen the tourism sector to generate employment and revenue from the vast tourism potentials of the state. Implementation of State Tourism Policy is also immediate need for proper growth and development of the tourism. Instead of Arunachal Tourism Society, the Govt. should establish Arunachal Tourism Board incorporating expertises from tourism professionals, stakeholders and Govt. Officials for smooth development of industry in the state. Till Monday 50 Tour operators has registered though online and hope that it would  a goo gathering of all stake holders who are fully devoted and committed for the development of tourism industry in state.
