APCC Covid monitoring team on awareness drive in capital city, distributed facemask to denizens

ITANAGAR, MAY 04: The Covid monitoring team of Arunachal Pradesh Congress committee (APCC) today went on creating awareness among the denizens of the capital city of state and distributed facemask and even hand sanitizers.

The team led by APCC General Secretary Gyamar Tana (Chairman) informed the press that we have already set up a control room at APCC Office, Itanagar with several phone and mobile numbers where everyone can contact us and our volunteers are ready to extend help and support to the needy person.

The APCC President Nabam Tuki has requested to carry philanthropic work and help the needy people and also those who are suffering due to Covid pandemic even one is infected or otherwise. Tana said.  today team was consist of senior and active leaders of the party including Toko Mina, Giogi Ganga and others has started the awareness drive from one of the busiest and crowded daily market located  between Chimpu-Hollongi road, then to Chimpu, Gopur Tinali and Ganga market area. We also carry a PA system where we announce the SoP and other necessary preventive measures to be taken up to remain safe from any type of infection including Covid. He said. We speak in all the local dialects including that of HIndi and English so that maximum numbers of people can listen and understand the Covid behaviors. Tana added.

We also distributed facemask to more than five hundred people including shopkeepers, consumers, pedestrians, and commuters on the roads.

It was really a good initiative and the team will continue to do so in all sectors, colonies and districts where such teams have also been constituted who will liaise with the team at APCC office and also with the local district administration to help the people in need during the pandemic. Tana further said.
