ITANAGAR, MARCH 9 : Dozens of aggrieved candidate for appointment on companionate ground of Arunachal Pradesh police (APP) has been on peaceful dharna for last several days at IG Park demanding written assurance and positive action of their six point charter of demand with PHQ, home department and state government on several occasion. Threatened to continue the movement if written assurance and positive action is not initiated.
Aggrieved and compensate candidate committee, President Sona Mangli inform that we have approached to all the the authority of police headquarter, Home department on several occasion to pursue of our demand since 2019 but it is almost four years and no recruitment has taken place but we are given with only assurances. What will we do with assurance but we want what the government has to compensate to the victims that in time as the victims are almost hand to mount in waiting for the recruitment process the PHQ will be doing. He said.
Our wait and watch is over but what can be done and we have carried our rally and sit on dharna twice in state capital. No one come forward to hear to our grievances and everyone only give assurances time and again. He said.
Once the recruitment process for the sanctioned post of 27 which was lying vacant since then was started and the candidates were sk to appear for physical fitness test which was cancelled and the reason is best known to PHQ. He said.
In 2019 recruitment process was held out of 508 candidate 325 were appointed and the 183 was left out. Though recruitment process of 53 post but is was to be done as per assurance of the government including that of 27 post which were sanctioned yet to begin. He said.
We are tired of coming to state capital from various district to approach as no one hear our problem so we have to sit on dharna and carry rally in capital. All expenses we brought form home is finished and no way there to go back to home but to carry out protest our genuine right. He said.
Today a team of our committee has meet the IGP Apur Bitin and put forward our grievances but we come to know that another problem have come up as the PHQ has another excuse of saying that the new SoP is being frames and it is beyond their control and cant given any further assurances. However they will informed us about update on monthly basis which is unbelievable and wait and watch episode is almost over. He said.
If at all no concrete assurance either in form of written assurance for conducting the recruitment process is received we will continue to sit on dharna there itself and even go on fast if permission is not received as our patience is almost out and only full proof assurance can be a solution followed by process for recruitment of post and proposal, approval and sanction of posts etc. he added.
