An active cadre of NSCN-IM surrendered before the joint operation of Assam Rifles and State Police in Longding district, Arunachal Pradesh. The surrender, which came after eight years of active involvement in insurgent groups, was a result of the relentless pursuit and efforts by the security forces.
The surrendered cadre was presented with a surrender certificate by the District Civil Administration and was subsequently sent back to his native village in Longding district.
