ITANAGAR, NOV 1 ; Various organization which include Arunachal Bachao andolan committee (ABAC) organized joint foot march from Naharlagun to Itanagar in capital complex against corruption and demanded CBI/ED enquiry.
The joint foot march which began from Naharlagun to IG Park in Itanagar was held in collaboration with PRO-Dam movement of Arunachal Pradesh, all capital complex youth welfare association (ACCYWA) and Arunachal Nari shakti. Hundreds of protesters shouting slogans holding leaflet, banners and cutout shouting slogans against corruption and demanding CBI/ED enquiry against state government and corrupt officers and officials.
Briefing the media, the Pro Dam movement of Arunachal leader Taw Poul said that we have been demanding of important and raising genuine issues protesters also demanded arrest of one Akhilesh Pratap Singh of Lucknow for insulting the Arunachal against corruption (AAC) Chairman during her foot march to New Delhi at Lucknow in Utter Pradesh. Since the power generation company are generating huge power supply and the state is having potential of huge power supply so the state government should provide free power supply to its people. The youths of state should be dedicated and committed toward and do some good education and training and skill so they inpite of seeking employment we can become employer. He said.
There is huge corruption in various levels and if the state government led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu is clean then he should not hesitate to recommend to CBI and ED to investigate like the state govt has recommended in respect of APPSC paper leakage fiasco. Paul said.
He said that the Arunachal Against Corruption (AAC) has raised 10 point charter of demand and the state government of Arunachal Pradesh should recommend CBI/ED to root out corruption from state. We are focusing our demand and shall continue to fight against corruption. He said.
While lauding the investigation against the APPSC fiasco by CBI The Pro-Dam movement of Arunachal Pradesh leader Paul said that it is very good but state govt should also recommend to CBI & ED enquiry into various high level corruption in state of which several cases are lying pending in court of law.
